• Estate litigationPosition Summary
We are seeking a motivated Litigation Associate to join our litigation team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in civil litigation and a desire to grow their own practice while assisting with complex files.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting senior counsel
2. Carrying your own file load and work independently to your experience level
3. Preparing pleadings, applications, settlement agreements, and other documents;
4. Conducting legal research and preparing accurate memoranda for lawyers and clients
5. Conducting chambers applications and trials in accordance with your experience levelPrerequisites:
• Member of the Law Society of British Columbia in good standing
• 1-5 years of litigation experience
• Strong written and verbal advocacy skills
• Ability to manage and develop client relationships
• Proven ability to manage deadlines
• Chambers and/or trial experience preferred
• Experience managing client billing, collections, and accounts receivable preferredWe pride ourselves on offering a fast paced and supportive environment with significant opportunities to build a successful practice while gaining broad litigation experience and exposure to other areas of law based on your interests.
Compensation:
• $80,000 – $160,000 consisting of base salary and bonus structure based upon successful collections
